Tiene una voz expresiva, capaz de alcanzar un rango de cuatro octavas, y un estilo productivo ecl\u00e9ctico y meticulosamente musical. Debut\u00f3 en 1978 con el single\u00a0<i>Wuthering Heights<\/i>, que fue n\u00famero uno en las listas musicales brit\u00e1nicas durante cuatro semanas. Es considerada una de las m\u00e1ximas referentes del art pop.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BW3gKKiTvjs?feature=oembed&amp;wmode=opaque\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe>Catherine Bush naci\u00f3 en el seno de una familia de clase media (su padre era m\u00e9dico). Pas\u00f3 los a\u00f1os de su ni\u00f1ez en St. Joseph\u2019s Convent School, donde estudi\u00f3 viol\u00edn y piano. A la edad de 16 a\u00f1os fue descubierta por David Gilmour de Pink Floyd, quien qued\u00f3 asombrado con el talento de la joven Cathy. Logr\u00f3 entonces, por mediaci\u00f3n de Gilmour, grabar algunas de sus canciones, de manera que pronto la discogr\u00e1fica EMI se interes\u00f3 por sus composiciones.
